The Citizen Direct platform is our rapid service development and deployment platform for Government. It incorporates elements of CMS, eCommerce, Identity Management, Social Networking and Workflow. Citizen Direct incorporates an identity management delegate, allowing user authentication via Government Gateway using the Gateway Trust Server. It also supports federated identity management and SSO through the Gateway White Label Service.
Technology behind Citizen Direct
- The core CMS, eCommerce, eLearning and user management/security components are created in object oriented PHP5.
- The Trust Server, SOAP and messaging services are created in Java J2EE for robust enterprise-class middleware.
- For dynamic Web 2.0 user experience, Ajax controls are used to create compelling user experiences.
- For federated Identity Management and Single Sign On (SSO), SAML and PHP are used.
